This 18th-century Scottish castle is one of Scotland’s most historic houses. Inveraray Castle sits on the banks of Loch Fyne in Scotland where there has been a Castle since the 1400s.

It is the ancestral home of the Duke’s of Argyll and has been renovated sumptuously by the current Duke and Duchess and offers guests the opportunity to enjoy pure 5 star luxury. The castle we see today took 43 years to build. Designed by Roger Morris and William Adam it is a fine example of a truly modern Baroque, Palladian and Gothic style castle. Dating from 1720 this unmistakably Scottish castle was the first of its size and type to be built in this remote part of Scotland.

This Scottish castle is situated on a large estate which offers wonderful walks and places to explore. Previous Dukes of Argyll have created several follies and other stone buildings that offer fantastic views over Loch Fyne and the surrounding area.
