30 minutes from Pisa Airport and 1 hour from Florence, Villa Michaela is surrounded by rural tranquillity situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Vorno, about 8km south of Lucca. Guests can stroll five minutes to the village bar, shop and restaurant. The villa sits at the foot of the Zano Mountain and has wonderful views of the surrounding hills, forests, olive groves and the Alpe Apuane, sometimes snowcapped in the winter.
There are 12 large double bedrooms with 10 bathrooms in the luxury Italian villa. This includes the stunning Dante Suite with its double Jacuzzi bath and breath taking views over the local countryside. There is additional accommodation for 6 guests in the grounds.
The ornate dining room can seat 36-80 making it ideal for a special celebration under the impressive chandeliers and frescoes.
Nestling in 50 acres of pine forests and olive groves, the villa has extensive gardens, a floodlit tennis court, a large swimming pool and several different al fresco dining areas. There is also an Italian Cooking School on-site which runs week long courses should you or guests be interested in taking part. The villa has its own chapel which dates back to the 13th Century and is now consecrated for Anglican wedding ceremonies and is of historic and artistic interest. The village is well known for it’s beautiful clear spring water and summer climate with a lovely evening breeze.
