The house was originally built in 1740 by Sir Roland Blannerhassett and has been owned by the Magill family since 1860. This luxury Georgian mansion house overlooks Macgillicuddy Reeks and is just next to the Killarney National Park.

It is an ideal Irish country house to stay in for a multi-generational family vacation as there is so much to do and see nearby for all ages. The towns of Killarney, Killorglin, Kenmare, Dingle and Tralee are all nearby and there are some fabulous beaches close by to enjoy. For golf enthusiasts, Beaufort Golf Course is next door and 5 renowned golf courses are within an hour’s drive. There are also some excellent local restaurants nearby if guests would like to experience dining out in Ireland.

This Georgian mansion house has it’s own all weather tennis court, games room and media room. There are many activities which guests of Churtchtown can enjoy with something for every age of visitor. There is lough, river and sea fishing available as well as lots of interesting walking to be done whether it is in Killarney National Park or trekking up Ireland’s highest mountain. Rossbeigh Beach is nearby and is a great place for swimming, canoeing, surfing and many other watersports. For guests who would like to enjoy the beautiful scenery cycling is an ideal way to do this with wonderful cycle rides from 2 hours up to a full day. Killarney Riding Stables are not far and are excellent offering rides for guests of all abilities and again this is a great way to enjoy the fabulous scenery.
