THE HIGHLANDS EXPERIENCE

Come and discover Scotland with LTR and enjoy a luxury Scottish Highlands vacation. With its breathtaking scenery, historic heritage, vibrant culture, and fabulous sites. We can put together a unique experience for each and every one of our clients to enjoy their Scotland vacation.

The Highlands of Scotland has so much to offer it’s visitors. The scenery is nothing short of spectacular, whatever time of year you choose to go. Hidden in amongst the dramatic hills, valleys and rivers, there are beautiful historic castles and stately homes that have a multitude of stories to tell of lives lived long ago between their walls. Lovingly modernized by their owners they have swapped their tatty, grand décor, drafty corridors and cold water for fabulously restored rooms, warm corridors and en-suite bathrooms with endless boiling hot water.

Below we give you an example of some of the many places to visit and things to do whilst on an LTR Scottish highlands tour or you can read all about one of our favorite bespoke tours of Scotland and Ireland.

EDINBURGH

Before embarking on your very special tailor made vacation in the Highlands of Scotland, you could enjoy the dynamic culture, wonderful tastes and magical sounds of the capital city, Edinburgh.

There are some top hotels ranging from the small boutique, cozy hotels to the larger and architecturally spectacular ones. We can arrange for you to stay in your perfect hotel for the duration of your stay.

PERTHSHIRE AND FIFE

Perthshire and Fife are the heart of Scotland and the city of Perth is the gateway to the Highlands.

Beautiful rolling countryside and a wonderful place from which to explore Glamis Castle (childhoos home of Her Majesty, The Queen Mother). Visit Scone Palace, tour Stirling Castle, shop at the House of Bruar, visit the home of golf at St Andrews and nose around the fishing villages of East Fife.

THE ISLE OF SKYE, OTHER ISLANDS AND BEYOND

Heading north and on to the Isle of Skye you will pass through some truly spectacular scenery.

Skye’s natural larder is exceptional and a visit to Skye would not be complete without going to The Three Chimneys Restaurant and Inn. This wonderful place has received lots of International acclaim over the last two decades. There is the opportunity to explore deeper and on to the outer Hebridean islands. Beautiful white sandy beaches which are ideal for long blustery walks and you can take a boat out to whale watch, look for dolphins and spot various birds of prey.
